What We Believe
We believe…
THE SCRIPTURES
We believe the Holy Bible, as originally written, was verbally plenarily inspired and the product of Spirit-led men and therefore is God’s truth without any error. We believe the Bible to be the basis of true Christian unity and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds and opinions must be derived from and held to (2 Tim 3:16,17; 2 Pet 1:19-21; Matt 24:35).

THE ONE TRUE GOD
We believe that there is only one living and true God – the God of the Bible. He is the infinite sovereign Spirit, the maker and supreme ruler of heaven and earth; who is inexpressibly glorious in holiness and worthy of all obedience, honor, confidence and love. Within the unity of the God-head there are three unique, while simultaneously coexistent persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in every perfection and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption (Ex 20:2,3; Is 43:10,11; Jn 17:1-5; 1 Cor 8:6; Rev. 4:11).

GOD THE SON
We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Trinity, possesses all the divine qualities and He is coequal, consubstantial and coeternal with the Father (Jn 10:30; 14:9).
We believe that God the Father created all things according to His will, through His Son, Jesus Christ, by whom all things continue in existence and in operation (Jn 1:3; Col 1:15-17; Heb 1:2).
We believe that in the incarnation (God becoming man), Christ surrendered only the prerogatives of deity but nothing of the divine essence, either in degree or kind. In His incarnation, Christ accepted all the essential characteristics of humanity and so became the God-man (Phil 2:5-8; Col 2:9).
We believe that Jesus Christ represented humanity and deity in indivisible oneness (Mic 5:2; Jn 5:23; 14:9-10; Col 2:9).
We believe that Jesus Christ was virgin born (Is 7:14; Matt 1:23, 25; Lu 1:26-35); that He was God incarnate (Jn 1:1, 14); and that the purpose of the incarnation was to reveal God, redeem mankind, and rule over God's eternal kingdom (Ps 2:7-9; Is 9:6; Jn 1:29; Phil 2:9-11; Heb 7:25-26; 1 Pet 1:18-19).
We believe that in the incarnation, the second Person of the Trinity laid aside His right to the full prerogatives of coexistence with God and took on an existence appropriate to a servant while never divesting Himself of His divine attributes (Phil 2:5-8).
We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through the shedding of His blood and sacrificial death on the cross and that His death was voluntary, substitutionary, propitiatory, and redemptive (Jn 10:15; Rom 3:24-25; 5:8; 1 Pet 2:24).
We believe that on the basis of the efficacy of the death of our Lord Jesus Christ, the believing sinner is freed from the punishment, the penalty, the power, and one day the very presence of sin; and that he is declared righteous, given eternal life, and adopted into the family of God (Rom 3:25; 5:8-9; 2 Cor 5:14-15; 1 Pet 2:24; 3:18).
We believe that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead and that He ascended to the right hand of the Father, where He mediates as our Advocate and High Priest (Matt 28:6; Luk 24:38-39; Act 2:30-31; Rom 4:25; 8:34; Heb 7:25; 9:24; 1 Jn 2:1).
We believe that in the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave, that God confirmed the deity of His Son and gave proof that God has accepted the atoning work of Christ on the cross. Jesus' bodily resurrection is also the guarantee of a future resurrected life for all believers (Jn 5:26-29; 14:19; Rom 1:4; 4:25; 6:5-10; 1 Cor 15:20, 23).
We believe that Jesus Christ will return to receive the church, which is His Bride and Body, unto Himself at the rapture, and returning with His church in glory, will establish His millennial kingdom on earth (Act 1:9-11; 1 Thes 4:13-18; Rev 20).
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the One through whom God will judge all mankind (Jn 5:22-23):
Believers (1 Cor 3:10-15; 2 Cor 5:10)
Living inhabitants of the earth at His glorious return (Mat 25:31-46)
Unbelieving dead at the Great White Throne (Rev 20:11-15)
As the Mediator between God and man (1 Tim 2:5), the Head of His Body the church (Eph 1:22; 5:23; Col 1:18), and the coming universal King who will reign on the throne of David (Is 9:6; Luk 1:31-33), Jesus Christ is the final Judge of all who fail to place their trust in Him as Lord and Savior (Mat 25:14-46; Act 17:30-31).

THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person, coequal with God the Father and God the Son and of the same nature; that the Spirit was active in Creation; that the Spirit restrains the evil one until God’s purpose is fulfilled; that the Spirit convicts sin by God’s righteousness and of His judgment to come; that the Spirit bears witness to the truth of the Gospel in preaching and testimony; that the Spirit is the agent of the new birth; and that the Spirit seals, endues, guides, teaches, witnesses, sanctifies and helps the believer (Jn 1:33; 3:5,6; 14:16-26; 16:8-11; Matt. 28:19; Heb. 9:14; Luk 1:35; Gen 1:1-3; Act 5:30-32; Eph 1:13,14; Mar 1:8; Act 11:16; Luk 24:49; Rom. 8:14,16,26,27; 15:19; Heb. 2:4).

THE DEVIL (SATAN)
We believe that the person of Satan exists and that he is a fallen, sinful angel and the unholy god of this age and world. He is the ruler of all the powers of evil and is destined to judgment of an eternal justice in the lake of fire (Matt. 4:1-11; 2 Cor. 4:4).

CREATION
We believe the Genesis account of Creation as being neither allegory nor myth, but a literal, historical account of the direct supernatural acts of God without evolutionary process; that man and woman - in spirit, soul and body - were created by God and not from previously existing forms of life; and that all men are descended from the historical Adam and Eve, first parents of the entire human race (Gen 1, 2; Col. 1:17; Jn 1:3).

MARRIAGE
We believe marriage was established by God to join a man and a woman together for life and that believers are instructed to only marry another believer. Marriage serves a variety of God-ordained purposes. The marriage relationship serves as a tangible symbol of the relationship between Jesus Christ and His church (Gen 1:26-31; 2:18-25; Matt 19:10-12; Rom 7:1-3; Eph 5:22-33; 1 Cor 7:1-40).

THE FALL OF MAN
We believe that man was created in innocence under the law of his Maker but by voluntary transgression Adam and Eve fell from their sinless state; through them all man-kind sinned; in consequence, all men are totally depraved and lost and are heirs of Adam’s fallen nature as sinners by nature and conduct; and therefore are under just condemnation without defense or excuse (Gen. 3:1-6; Rom 1:18,32; 3:10-19; 5:12,19).

THE ATONEMENT FOR SIN
We believe that the salvation of the sinner is divinely initiated and wholly of God’s grace through the sacrifice and mediation of the Son of God, who freely took upon Himself our nature, yet without sin, fulfilled the divine Law by His obedience, and by His death made a full and vicarious atonement for our sins; that His atonement consisted not of setting for us an example of a martyr, but as a voluntary substitution of Himself in the sinner’s place, the just dying for the unjust, Christ the Lord, bearing our sin in His body, on the Cross of Calvary (Jn 2:9; 3:16,17; Eph 2:8; Act 15:11; Rom. 3:24,25; Matt. 18:11; Phil 2:7,8; Heb. 2:4; Isa. 53:4-7: 1 Jn 4:10; 1 Cor. 15:3; 2 Cor. 5:21).

RESURRECTION AND PRIESTHOOD
We believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ and in His ascension into heaven where He now sits at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest (Matt. 28:6,7; Luk 24:39; Jn 20:27; 1 Cor. 15:4; Mar 16:6; Luk 24:2-6,51; Act 1:9-11; Rev. 3:21; Heb. 8:6; 7:25; 1 Tim. 2:5; 1 Jn 2:1; Heb. 2:17; 5:9,10).

GRACE IN THE NEW CREATION
We believe that in order to be saved, sinners must be born again; that the new birth is a new creation in Christ; that it is instantaneous and not a process; that in the new birth the one dead in trespasses and in sins is made a partaker of the divine nature and receives eternal life, the free gift of God; that the new creation is brought about by our sovereign God in a manner above comprehension, solely by the power of the Holy Spirit, so as to secure our voluntary obedience to the will of God and the Gospel; that its proper evidence appears in our lives by holy fruits of the Spirit through our repentance, faith and newness of life and His provision and grace (Jn 3:3; 2 Cor. 5:17; 1 Jn 5:1; Jn 3:6,7; Act 16:30-33; 2 Pet. 1:4; Rom. 6:23; Eph. 2:1,5; 2 Cor. 5:19; Col. 2:13).

JUSTIFICATION
We believe that justification is the judicial act of God whereby He declares us to be righteous through faith in Jesus Christ; that justification includes the pardon of sin and the imputation of God’s righteousness; that it is bestowed, not in consideration of any works of righteousness which we have done, but solely through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ and by His power and grace (Act 13:39; Isa 53:11; Zec. 13:1; 2 Cor. 5:18-21; Rom. 5:1,9; 8:1; Eph. 2:8,9).

REPENTANCE
We believe that repentance is a change of mind, heart and purpose toward God prompted by the Holy Spirit; that it is characterized by true sorrow for sin as offensive to God and ruinous to the soul and that true repentance is inseparably related to true faith (Luk 13:1-3; 15:7; Act 8:22; Rom 2:4; 2 Cor. 7:10; Act 20:21).

FAITH AND SALVATION
We believe that true faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the only condition of salvation (Act 16:31; Jn 14:6; Rom 10:9,10).
We believe that true faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the only condition of salvation (Act 16:31; Jn 14:6; Rom 10:9,10).
SANCTIFICATION
We believe that sanctification is the divine setting apart of the believer unto God accomplished in the threefold manner: first, an eternal act of God, based upon redemption in Christ, establishing the believer in a position of holiness at the moment he trusts in Jesus as Savior; second, a continuing process in the believer as the Holy Spirit applies God’s Word to the believer’s life; third, the final accomplishment of this process is the Lord’s return (Heb. 10:10-14; 3:1; Jn 17:17; 2 Cor. 3:18; 1 Cor. 1:30; Eph. 5:25, 26; 1 Thes. 4:3,4; 5:23,24; Eph 5:27; 1 Jn 3:2; Jud 24,25; Rev. 22:11).

ADOPTION
We believe that adoption is the gracious act whereby the Father, for the sake of the Son, places believers into the honored position as children of God. The full benefit of the position accorded by adoption as the sons and daughters of God awaits believers at the coming of the Lord, being joint heirs with Christ Jesus (Eph 1:5; Gal 4:1-7; Eph 1:13,14; 1 Jn 3:1-2; Rom 8:14-18).

THE SECURITY OF THE SAINTS
We believe that all who are truly born again are kept by God the Father for Jesus Christ for eternity (Phil 1:6; Jn 10:28, 29; Rom 8:35-39; Jud 1).
We believe that all who are truly born again are kept by God the Father for Jesus Christ for eternity (Phil 1:6; Jn 10:28, 29; Rom 8:35-39; Jud 1).
THE CHURCH
We believe in the unity of all true believers in the church which is the body of Christ, both Jews and Gentiles, are added to this church by the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which occurs at the time of the believer’s salvation.
We believe that this church is manifested through the local church which is a congregation of the baptized believers associated by a covenant of faith and fellowship of the Gospel. Who observe the ordinances of Christ, are governed by His laws, exercise the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word; and that its offices are elders and deacons, whose qualifications, claims and duties are clearly defined in Scripture.
We believe that the true mission of the Church is the faithful witnessing of Christ to all men as we obey Christ, and that the church is responsible for the discipline and edification of the saints. We hold that the church has the absolute right of self-government free from the interference of hierarchy or individuals or organizations; that the one and only head of the church is Christ through the Holy Spirit; that it is scriptural for true churches to cooperate with each other in contending for the faith and for the furtherance of the gospel; that each local church may determine the measure and method of its cooperation; and that on all matters of membership, polity, government, discipline, and benevolence, that the will of the local church is final subject only to the will of God (Eph. 3:1-6; 1 Cor 12:12 - 31; Act 2:41,42; Eph 1:22,23; 4:11,12; Act 20:17-28; 1 Tim. 3:1-7; Col 1:18; Eph 5:23,24; Act 15:13-18; Matt 28:19,20).

BAPTISM AND THE LORD'S SUPPER
We believe in Christian baptism under the authority of the local church, to show forth in a solemn and beautiful act, our faith in the crucified, buried and resurrected Savior, Jesus Christ, through whom we died to sin and rose to a new life.
We believe that the Lord’s Supper is the commemoration of His death until He returns and should always be preceded by self examination. We believe that the Biblical ordinances are baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Act 8:36-39; Jn 3:23; Rom 6:3-5; Matt 3:16; Col 2:12; 1 Cor 11:23-28; Matt 28:19,20).

SEPARATION
We believe in obedience to the Biblical commands to separate entirely from worldliness and apostasy. Separation is not only separation from worldliness but also separation unto God in holiness and purity in heart (2 Cor 6:14-7:1; 1 Thes 1:9,10; 1 Tim 6:3-5; Rom 16:17; 2 Jn 9-11).

CIVIL GOVERNMENT
We believe that the civil government is of divine appointment for the protection and good order of human society; that magistrates are to be prayed for, conscientiously honored and obeyed, except in things opposed to the will of our Lord Jesus, who is the only Lord of the conscience and the coming King of kings (Rom 13:1-7; 2 Sam 23:3; Ex 18:21,22; Act 23:5; Matt 22:21; Acts 5:29; 4:19,20; Dan 3:17,18).
