What is
AWANA?

AWANA is an acronym that is based on 2 Timothy 2:15, which stands for “Approved Workman are Not Ashamed”. Awana is a once a week gathering for children (Toddler - 6th Grade) during the academic school year (September - April) where children can learn the truth about the Bible in a fun, safe, and engaging way.

What happens during an AWANA gathering?

Ready Set Go!

We start our Awana time with the Opening Ceremony. The purpose of this, is to bring clubbers together at the beginning of each weekly gathering. Our time consists of prayer, worship songs, and general announcements.

Game On

Game Time is a highly charged and fast moving time of recreation and competition that is supervised diligently by our volunteers.  It provides structured fun that interests kids, but also teaches them the value of teamwork and acceptance.

Let's Open It Up

Handbook Time is devoted to scripture memorization, explanation, and learning. Leaders provide one-on-one time with the clubbers, answering their questions and listening. This is where important relationship building takes place.

Group Time

The Scripture for the night is explained in a creative, engaging, and thought-provoking way by our group Bible teacher.

Theme Nights

Theme Nights are a way for children and leaders to have fun while also learning and engaging with the Bible. Ask us about our calendar for the various theme nights during the Awana semester.

Dressed To Impress

An important part of Awana is to establish unity within children and leaders. Awana uses uniforms to assist in this effort. Uniforms are also a neat place to display awards.

All Good Things Must Come To An End...

In closing of our time together each week, children are safely taken to the main sanctuary where parents can securely check their child out.

What are the different levels where your child can learn & Grow!

Cubbies

PRESCHOOL AGES [3 - 5 YEARS]
In Cubbies the kids are taught through Story Time about God! Lessons focus on the greatness of God's love, His Word, and His Son, Jesus Christ. Through games they build excitement that helps reinforce Story Time lesson themes.

Sparks

ELEMENTARY [KINDER - 2ND]
Sparks ignites the curiosity of early elementary-age kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ.

T & T

UPPER ELEMENTARY [3RD - 6TH]
The T&T (Truth & Training) curriculum teaches kids the truth of God's Word, and trains them to follow Him and practice His grace. Our goal is to guide kids into a deeper understanding of God’s grace.
